For more than 70 years, All Children's Hospital has cared for children who need special medical
attention. All Children's has grown into a regional center for treatment, teaching and research,
the hallmark of a major pediatric referral center.

All Children's Specialty Care of Lakeland brings the same level of quality care provided at All
Children's Hospital closer to home for the children of central Florida.

It is not another hospital. It is a 21,000-square-foot clinic facility that provides high-quality
medical, laboratory and therapeutic services in a convenient outpatient setting.

All of the physicians, nurses and other professionals who work in the center are extensively
trained to meet the special needs of children of all ages. They work closely with community
physicians, providing a continuum of comprehensive care for children with complex medical
problems. Just as important, they treat young patients and their families with special care, and
with concern for their emotional well-being.

Of course, All Children's Specialty Care of Lakeland features many of the unique touches that
make All Children's Hospital such a special place. Two waiting areas complete with toys can help
alleviate the stress a child may feel before a medical visit.

What Services are Available?
Pediatric subspecialty care in a variety of disciplines is available to children who are referred by
their community physicians. The Specialty Care center is home to colorful exam rooms and
facilities for these outpatient visits. Advanced communications technologies permit
teleconference consultations with other subspecialists based at All Children's Hospital.

At the Scottish Rite Center for Childhood Language Disorders, located within All Children's
Specialty Care of Lakeland, our speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat articulation
and language development, voice and stuttering disorders, oral-motor feeding skills, and other
pediatric speech disorders. In the Audiology Department, our master's level audiologists evaluate
hearing problems in children and adults and provide hearing aid fitting, dispensing, and
adjustment services, with support from the Sertoma Foundation in Florida.

Some children have special motor or sensory needs, or require help with specific developmental
challenges. Pediatric occupational therapy and pediatric physical therapy services are available
in a special treatment area within All Children's Specialty Care of Lakeland.

Presurgical consultations and follow-up exams often can be accomplished right at the center, so
that families whose children need surgery at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg make fewer
long trips.

Center to consult with the many experts at All Children's Hospital A variety of community
