Camp CABAT Grant Awarded from
the George W. Jenkins Fund within the
Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland
The Central Florida Autism Institute, Inc. (CFAII) and the Center for Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (CABAT) are
pleased to announce Camp CABAT, a summer camp for children and youth on the Autism Spectrum. Thanks to the
generosity of the George W. Jenkins Fund within the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland, children and youth on
the Autism Spectrum will be able to participate in a high quality therapeutic and recreational summer experience with
siblings and peers. Campers will have the opportunity to improve social, language, and play skills in a community based
setting with peer mentors.

Camp Orlando Exceptional Recreation Summer Program. Five-day a week, 7:30am – 5:30pm, summer camp for
children/young adults with disabilities, ages 8-21. Includes arts/crafts, field trips, swimming, music/dance & outdoor

City of Altamonte Springs Special Needs Summer Camp. Day-camp experiences including crafts, games, field trips &

Kids at College Summer Camp located at PCC
Kids at College features a wide range of classes from academic and arts to the unusual. Some of the classes offered include
shocking science, calligraphy, Spanish, photography, scrapbook and rocketry. These 75-minute classes are offered to
children Monday - Thursday as follows:

Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Special Needs Program. Open to all family members. Parents are required to attend and
participate with their disabled children. Includes social time, snacks, outside play/sports, field trips and holiday themed

Maitland Academy PowerMeKids! Summer Camp. 140 Tonina Cove. Ste. 100, Maitland, 32751. Emphasizes sensory
integration for whole body & mind development. For non-disabled, 0r those with sensory integrative dysfunction, autism
spectrum disorder & related disabilities, or hearing impairment. Programs available ages 2-12 years. June 16th-27th, and

Marine Explorer Camp. Outdoor and environmentally oriented activities, including fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, boating and
games that teach youths about the water, land and animals of Volusia County. 9am-3pm at Marine Science Center, 100
Lighthouse Dr., Ponce Inlet. For ages 6-12: June 16–20 and July 21-25 (4th-6th grades); June 23-27 (7th- 9th grades); and

National Forestry & Wildlife Division. Free lifetime access pass to all National Parks, for any person with a disability or for
caregivers of a person with a disability. Requirements: letter from physician stating the disability, taken to local National

Neon Club Recreation Program. Provides planned activities in a social environment for developmentally delayed adults over

32792. Intensive, but fun, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) summer programs for children with language, behavioral and
learning difficulties. (Also open to siblings or children without special needs.) 1:4 ratio. Program One: May 29th to August
